What is your favorite restaurant?
I have a pretty basic appetite, but beef is my go-to for binges. So many meals come to the table subpar, though: I think, damn I could have had a rib roast at home for less than that and be in my warm, fuzzy, beefy, vegetative, sweet potatin’ state, glazing on my couch with a cup of coffee plugged into the tv like a man at Thanksgiving!
On actual Thanksgiving, we offer pre-and-day of roasts. So others can have some too.
OK, so my favorites are things I don’t cook.
9 out of 10 Southeastern North Carolina Fried Chicken and Barbecue Joints! A few have flounder…triple score. There was a large restaurant in NC that had a buffet with all three and tons of hushpuppies and sides and desserts all top quality. Wonder if they’re still there?
Flounder at the ocean, not the freezer. A family farm use to have a giant fish fry (flounder they caught among others) every fall for the employees and their friends and family. Community was nice, but picking cherry tomatoes was not. I learned tons doing that.
Brazilian Steakhouses… so you can linger.
Basics, I love Culvers, Popeyes, Lee’s Chicken, and Raising Cane’s, though there’s not one near me. Great backstory.
ALL THINGS MARYLAND PIT BEEF!!!! Thank God we know their secret like a Carolina BBQ crafted concoction!
Pizza Hut Pan pizza with half bacon and onion and the other with tomatoes and chicken.
Now I’m hungry.
