This is my rough introduction to a book I wrote then abandoned for the lack of ability to tediously add photos and whatnot… mostly because I was happily distracted by the remnants of my Kittle Kat Pack. It’s for all ages is meant to be like old time storytelling with lyrical tones and fun words. Simple is good sometimes.

KITTLE KATS

NOW PLAYING AT A SHELTER NEAR YOU!!

THE INTRODUCTION:

Kittle Kats are quite an amazing brood.  If you look it up, kittle is defined as “difficult to deal with, prone to erratic behavior” according to Oxford Languages.  Just as their name implies, Kittle Kats can be quite mischievous in the best of ways!  Every one different, with their own personalities, they go about their daily lives functioning as a community.

All known Kittle Kats live in one place… Kittle Kat Island!  It is a magical place with quite an interesting history.  In the beginning, Kittle Kats did not live on an island.  They lived in a charming hideaway called Kittleville Forest.  For many generations, they had happily lived there.  Many legends abound and stories galore are rumored and retold far and wide about what happened to them and how they wound up living on the island.  In fact, most people don’t even believe Kittle Kats are real; but I assure you, they are!

Now, on any given day, you’re likely to see Kittle Kats up to no good in a ton of ways!  Mostly, it’s the young Kittle Kats that cause the chaos, but even the oldest, most refined of Kittle Kats are prone to crazy behavior every now and then.  Back in the good old days, the eldest Kittle Kats say, they would go out in their neighborhoods and cause a ruckus!  They’d dig in gardens, climb screen windows, and even fly inside the houses of actual people!

Younger Kittle Kats love to run through the forest chasing each other and anything else they may encounter.  They’re also prone to cause trouble in their very own homes!  Poor mother Kittle Kats when it’s their turn!  You might see Kittle Kats hanging on the window screens on the inside or the outside!  Others are more curtain dwellers, who prefer to hang there because they can swing on them, too!  And they learn as they get older they can also climb them almost to the ceiling.  They often race from the bottom up and see who can reach that thing that holds the curtain up, which you and I call a curtain rod! That’s the ultimate spot, you see, because from there, they can jump on anything in the room they want!  Being unable to think things through, let’s just say many a TV, blender, and glass things of an endless variety have been broken!
