Quiet Times

If you’ve never seen this beauty of a John Wayne movie, you should. It’s visually beautiful, funny, and has one of the best town brawls I’ve ever seen!

It’s also the usual heartwarming, timed pieced, reminder of what we could have to endure as women. I would have gone down fighting with my Scottish Terrier (yes, that’s my other heritage) by my side! I had an awesome one named Pepper, but he was a die hard and it was always a task to keep him in line.

Big, hateful, stupid older brothers who like to beat on little sisters and then go suck their thumbs. They were everywhere and women, sisters, were their property to sell like a horse. Today, we worry more about lipsticks, unless the border stays open.

That’s in the United States, by the way. This is a heartwarming tale of two individuals who encountered one another, felt alive, then fought to make it work while keeping their own dignities. Some good, old-fashioned fun anyone can watch.

    1. Same! Because he makes people feel safe. If you haven’t seen his episode on “I Love Lucy”, anyone, check it out!
