Do you have any collections?
I know it’s not typical, but I have rocks, seashells, and flowers in crystal containers and others that not only span my life, but include shells collected by my great uncle, who was a preacher. He gave a beautiful cornucopia full of shells he gathered on a beach trip to members of the extended family. At the time he was probably in his 60s. He is a brother to my grandfather who I’ve mentioned died very young when my Mom was 1 and my grandmother was pregnant with my aunt…and while two of his other brothers were MIA in WWII. Very sad time for the whole community, as they were farmers and loved throughout the greater area for kindness and values. My grandmother died when I was 6. My other grandfather died when my dad was in around 8th grade. His wife died when I was a baby. Just one grandparent til 6. Sooo I value humans and shared living times.
Also, from my own life, most places I’ve been, with people I love or alone I tend to bring a rock, shell, flower, or multiples of them home. Many beautiful memories. Together, they bring presence.
Also, coffee cups but I don’t count them as much. My son had me a custom mug with Ganondorf (Smash Brothers version) made that I adored until my mom dropped it… I also have a custom Wolf hoodie jacket that says “whassa matta, scared?” On it. It’s many years old and I still wear it.
Even the mugs represent people and places or activities…like Smash Brother’s Brawl brawls!
On a side note, while on vacation I played Brawl online and 2 arses ganged up on me while I was being Captain Falcon, with whom I sucked. I showed them, while setting the next match, I got my 16 yr old to wipe the floor with them both….as Captain Falcon with neverending Falcooooon Puuunches reigning like hell. I was a proud Mama! Also, I still remember the midnight line for Brawl 2 pre-order pickups and how excited I was as a full blown adult mother woman lol. One of my proudest mom moments was when, out of lack of another option, my son let me be his partner online and some guy ended up asking him ‘dude, who’s your partner?’ cause we punished his team bad!! He answered that’s my mom and I thought we’d both pop with laughter! He’s confident, so he didn’t even hesitate answering the guy.
Hope that wasn’t too long. Usually I keep it short on prompts!
Have a wonderful day! An hour of it’s already gone…and I’ve been up 22 hours, so that might account for the rambling….
